Taylor's, in its 26th year above the Dart
Peter and Pauline have made Taylor's a stylish but relaxed place for dinner, with gentle music, sparkling chandeliers and elegant mirrors overlooking the River Dart and Kingswear. The intimate dining room welcomes romantic dinners, meals with friends and special gatherings of up to 30 guests. Taylor's Restaurant is the trading name of Taylor's of Dartmouth Limited, and its registered number is 4504268. The kitchen uses quality ingredients from Devon's land and sea, with classic flavour combinations prepared to order. The menu below is a sample menu which changes regularly with the seasons and local produce. Ask about Fish of the Moment at market price, whatever is good today. Every main course includes complimentary Bread & Butter. A discretionary 10% service charge is shared fully with staff and can be removed on request.
Dinner, properly looked after
Taylor's is open for dinners from 6.30pm, Tuesday to Saturday. Online table requests are offered from 18:30 to 20:00, with bookings up to 6 persons. All reservations are allocated a 3 hour slot for dining. For bookings for 7 or more, call 01803 832 748 or email Pauline at enquiries@taylorsrestaurant.co.uk. Taylor's also publishes taylorsrestaurant@outlook.com for enquiries. If your preferred time is missing, call and the team will do its best to help. Please share allergies or dietary needs with the team before arrival. Taylor's is unable to offer vegan dishes. Children aged 7 and over are welcome, but children under 7 cannot be accommodated, and we do not allow dogs. Parties of 7 or more pay a non-refundable deposit of £20 per person. Cancellations or changes need at least 24 hours' notice for tables up to 4 and 48 hours' notice for tables of 5 or more. Taylor's may charge a cancellation fee of £20 per head without enough notice, and a No Show fee of £50 per person. The team always tries to resell a cancelled table and waives the cancellation charge when it can.
French Supper Club, cellar and the next evening
A French inspired 3-course set menu is planned for Thursday 8th October, Thursday 5th November and Thursday 10th December 2026. Tickets are £35 per person, payable at the time of booking. Taylor's has an extensive selection of red and white wines to compliment our menu. The list moves from organic Prosecco and Champagne through mineral whites, Provence rosé and cellar reds.
